Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes for PSP is another installment in a series of fighting games. This title is based on popular anime series which has its roots in Japan. The game was created exclusively for PSP owners. It is also worth noticing that compared to the predecessors, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes introduces certain diversifications to gameplay.
Mechanics
The largest novelty brought by the game is an opportunity to fight in teams of three – in order to take on this challenge, the player has to create their own team or make use of one of the existing. Obviously, apart from team fights, one can decide on a solo performance. Regardless of their choice, the player has eight interactive environments to fight in. Also, the game features a multiplayer mode based on Wi-Fi; in order to confront another player in this game, only one UMD disc is required.
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes for PSP features 20 characters, including mainly such figures as Sasuke Uchiha. Sakura Haruno, Kakashi Hatake, Shikamaru Nara or Ino Yamanaka, apart from the titular character of course. Each of the in-game fighters has their own abilities and a different fighting style. Furthermore, particular characters have special abilities and combos assigned to them – fans of the universe are definitely familiar with those. Completing subsequent missions, the player has a chance to develop their skills and acquire new ones. Upgrading particular kinds of punches, blocks, throws, etc, earns the player different power-ups.
