Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 Description
Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 is another arcade fighting game with the eponymous warrior as the protagonist. The title is based on the popular animated TV series created by Masashi Kishimoto. Similarly to the original, the game is only available for Wii.
Plot
The plot of the sequel continues some storylines of the original. The story begins soon after the disappearance of Naruto’s best friend, a boy named Sasuke. It soon turns out that the youngster joined forces with Orochimaru, the chief of a hostile village. Naruto decides to reclaim his friend. The main story mode of Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 consists of over twenty missions. Some of them are based on the events of the TV series but many challenges were designed solely for the purposes of the game.
Mechanics
Contrary to the original, where we had to choose between twenty playable characters, there are over thirty warriors at our disposal. Gameplay-wise, the game is similar to many three-dimensional fighting productions. Characters make use of a wide range of attacks that include both weaker blows and powerful actions that can be activated only after filling the characteristic power bar up. Another novelty in comparison with the predecessor is the fact that battle arenas are now destructible.
The developers of Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 put great emphasis on providing better balance of available characters. The controls are still largely based on using the unique features of Wii’s controller. For example, we can simulate hand movements by adequately manipulating the Wii-pilot.
Game modes
Apart from the story mode, we can also count on over 300 individual missions. The game also features a multiplayer mode for up to four players.
Technical aspects
The graphics received some enhancements in comparison to that of the original. The game retains its cartoonish style. The number and the level of detail of levels were increased. Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 for Wii offers full support for widescreens and can also display fights at the resolution of 480p.
