Narcos: Cartel Wars Description
Narcos: Cartel Wars is an Android and iOS mobile strategy game based on the license of TV show Narcos from Netflix. The game uses a free to play model with microtransactions and was developed by FTX Games.
Story
The action takes place in Colombia at the end of the 1970s. Players take on the role of a boss of a small drug cartel and have to turn it into a real criminal empire. At first, we work under the watchful eye of our patron, and when we gain some experience, we gain full control over our future. During the game, we have the opportunity to encounter many characters known from the TV series, which can be a big attraction for the fans of the original.
Mechanics
The story premise was realized in a form quite typical for strategic games designed for mobile devices. While playing Narcos: Cartel Wars we deal with the expansion of the base, where we have to construct new facilities, manage the business and improve the technology. All this is, of course, to be directed towards the production of drugs, so we carry out research into new formulas and organize production and transport. It is also necessary to build defensive structures.
At the same time, we must train death squads that enable us to seize rivals' territories. Battles are fought in real-time and their outcome is often determined by the employment of so-called sicarios, i.e. hired killers who play a role similar to that of heroes in traditional strategy games. We use all this in battles with artificial intelligence or other players. There are also options to make alliances with other users.
Technical aspects
Narcos: Cartel Wars offers nice three-dimensional visuals, with bright cartoonish style. It doesn't look realistic, but thanks to that it alleviates the seriousness of the topic.
