Myriad is an interesting combination of a music game and a shooter. The game was developed by Bifrost Entertainment. At first glance, the game may seem chaotic, because there is no coherent plot or more complex mechanics. However, it only takes a moment to understand the idea behind this undoubtedly eccentric production.
Mechanics
The main idea of Myriad is to fight against successive waves of enemies with the use of the soundtrack we create. The defeated opponents, however, continue to multiply and our task is to survive until we are surrounded by enemies - then, we initiate a huge chain reaction. In this way, we eliminate all enemies and improve our weapons at the same time. As we make progress, we gain access to more and more worlds and even more groups of opponents.
What is important, each stage is recorded, so that we can scroll through it freely, just like a real song. When we die, we do not lose progress. In addition, the highest-rated music performances are automatically saved, so you can share them with your friends or return to them at any time and play the game again, trying to achieve an even better result.
Technical aspects
Myriad offers simple yet interesting visuals full of contrasting colours and shapes. The phrase "colorful symphony" reflects very well what Grefsrud managed to create.
