My Pet Hotel 2 is a combination of a logical game and a simple economic strategy. The player's task is to manage the title hotel. It is, however, an unusual facility, namely a resting place for animals. The preparation of the game is the responsibility of the German development studio dtp young entertainment, specializing in offering products for the younger audience. The company has developed or released such games as Let's Ride: Silver Buckle Stables or Riding Star.
The player's recreation centre can take care of many different species of animals. These include dogs, cats, guinea pigs, parakeets, horses, rabbits and fish. It is very important to provide the little ones with decent living conditions, because only then you can count on good customer reviews and the resulting cash prizes. This, in turn, allows for further development of the facility, through the construction of new premises, or the purchase of necessary items (cages, toys for animals, or better food). Depending on your preferences, you participate in top-down scenarios or choose a free play mode. No multiplayer games are foreseen.
The manufacturer placed great emphasis on the possibility of interacting with pets appearing in the hotel. You can wash, feed and play with them. In the latter case, the player can count on, among other things, horse rides. Most of these actions are offered using a touch screen. However, My Pet Hotel 2 also offers full support for the console's built-in microphone. This is the way to try to give simple commands to the animals. Visually, My Pet Hotel 2 looks very good. Events are shown in full three-dimensional. The manufacturer took care not only of the attractive decoration of the hotel rooms, but also of detailed models of animals appearing in the centre.
