A visual novel adventure taking place in a world where humanity has been fighting unsuccessfully for decades against the invasion of the cosmic alien race called BETA. The production is a direct continuation of Muv-Luv Extra and Muv-Luv Unlimited and is the epic culmination of the trilogy he creates with these titles.

Muv-Luv Alternative is a classic visual novel adventure game set in an alternative version of the Earth in which since the 1970s mankind has been unsuccessfully fighting alien invaders using advanced technology and mechs. The production is a direct sequel to Muv-Luv Extra and Muv-Luv Unlimited, which were originally released together in Japan in 2003. The title was created by the Japanese studio âge and Koki Yoshimune, the scriptwriter best known for Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, which was released in 2001. Since its creation, the Muv-Luv series has received a number of comic and book spin-offs, as well as two anime series. What's more, thanks to its success in Japan, the series is also responsible for popularizing postapocalyptic and military themes among comic and anime authors. Hajime Isayama, the author of the Attack on Titan manga, took direct inspiration from the series. The English version of Muv-Luv Alternative was financed on Kickstarter.
