Muppet Pinball Mayhem Description
Muppet Pinball Mayhem (the game is also called Muppet Pinball Mania) is a simple arcade game. Of course, we are dealing with pinball, a genre which is quite popular on Advance's GameBoy. Nintendo's portable console has seen products such as Pac-Man Pinball Advance and Pinball Tycoon. The Muppet Pinball Mayhem is the responsibility of NewKidCo, also known for such productions as E.T.: Return to the Green Planet, or Tom and Jerry: Infurnal Escape. At the same time, it is worth mentioning that the described dexterity game offers entertainment for up to four people. Interestingly, players make their moves in turns. It is not necessary to have more consoles or cartridges with the game.
The described pinball refers in a very clear way to the title creatures, well known to younger audiences thanks to the TV series "The Muppet Show". The producer has prepared four different tables for the game, on which we can lead the struggle. As you can easily guess, each of the tables in the game is associated with one of the title Muppets. Among the characters who have seen their boards are the frog Kermit (a table with a very clear reference to the cinema theme), Miss Piggy (a pink board with a lot of jewels), or Gonzo. The fourth table is initially hidden and it is the player who must try to unblock it. Subsequent competitions can be played in two different ways. The Competition and Adventure modes have been prepared.
The physics of the behaviour of a metal ball stands at a relatively high level. The tables themselves are also quite realistic, i.e. they could actually be constructed. Each board of course contains a large number of interactive elements. Among other things, the possibility of releasing more balls on the table was not forgotten. The player can also keep track of their results. Visually, the game turned out quite well, although it may have a relatively limited field of vision. As a result, often the locations of some ramps or other interesting places simply need to be remembered.
