Muck is a survival game with roguelike elements. It was developed by a youtuber known as Dani, and the story of its development is quite original. The author developed the described project in response to a comment from a viewer, who said that he would not be able to create a game of this type on his own. The game is available for free.
Plot
In Muck we play as a unfortunate man trapped on a picturesque island. The protagonist must do everything in his power to survive.
Mechanics
In Muck we observe the action from a first person perspective (FPP). The game is divided into two phases. During the day we explore the procedurally generated island, hunt (this way we get food) and gather various resources (such as wood or stone). Resources are used to build various tools, weapons, upgrades and other useful items, as well as to construct various fortifications and structures in our base. After dark the real fight for life begins; then our main goal is to fend off attacks of mysterious enemies and survive until sunrise. This is not easy, because against us stand both regular adversaries, as well as much more powerful than them enemies. If we lose our way, there's nothing left for us but to start the whole struggle over again, on a new piece of land.
Game modes
In Muck you can play solo or in multiplayer mode. Game allows to cooperate with other players or to compete in battle royale.
Technical aspects
Muck graphics is not very detailed; it's kept in a cartoonish, low-detail style.
