New version of the popular MMORPG MU Online, based on the engine and mechanics of its predecessor. However, the game was adjusted to the changing trends, concentrating mainly on PvP competition. The intention of the creators was to encourage players playing on private servers to return to the official game server. In return, we offered, among other things, faster "leveling" and a completely free gameplay model.
MU Rebirth is a new incarnation of one of the most popular free MMORPGs, MU Online, which since its premiere in 2003 has enjoyed a constant interest of players for years. It was created by the authors of the original - the company Webzen, which had two main goals during the creation of the game.
The first of them was to introduce a few changes and improvements to the already a little old game mechanics and adapt it to the changing trends in MMO games. Although MU Rebirth is based on the same style of play and mechanisms used in MU Online, the fun itself is fundamentally oriented towards PvP competition. The creators focused on balancing all the races in the game, which resulted in, among other things, a drastic reduction in the time needed to reach the maximum level of character. At MU Rebirth it takes only 1 to 2 hours. In addition, after reaching the 400th level, players can "reset" their character and start collecting experience points from scratch, of course, while maintaining the previously developed statistics of the hero.
Mu Rebirth is, however, a unique production also for another reason - it is quite an original way to fight against the phenomenon of pirate "private servers", which is common in MMO games. Over the years, the developers have observed that a large number of players have moved to private servers, which were created like mushrooms after the rain. Their advantage was a much lower load, the possibility of faster "leveling" and free access to practically all the equipment elements. The downside is a situation in which players lost their progress due to a failure or unexpected shutdown of the server. Webzen offered a stable and fast official server, guaranteeing that it will never be shut down unexpectedly. In addition, the pay-to-win model typical for MU Online has been completely abandoned. Now practically all items in the game are available for free, because to buy them we can use the virtual currency, gained during the game. Of course, the set did not lack completely new weapons and items, unavailable in the previous version of the game.
The MU Rebirth uses the tuned engine of its predecessor, and due to the fact that more than a decade has passed since the premiere of the original, there have been changes in the visual layer. However, these are not revolutionary changes, so that the gameplay gives the impression of participating in a good old MU Online. In order to promote the new version of the title and players to return to the official server, a special PvP ranking and cyclic tournaments with cash prizes have been introduced in the game.
