Mr. Prepper

Mr. Prepper is an adventure and simulation game developed by the independent team of Rejected Games. The publisher is the Polish company PlayWay.

Plot

The action of Mr. Prepper takes place in a fictional state, whose citizens must live according to the rules set by the totalitarian government, because otherwise, they disappear without a trace; on top of that, the spectre of the atomic apocalypse hangs over the country. During the game we play the role of a man who prepares in his underground hiding place to take control of the situation and break the status quo.

Mechanics

In Mr. Prepper the action was shown from the side. The main element of the game is digging holes in the ground and expanding the aforementioned safehouse - in this way we gain rooms that can be used, among others, for workshops or greenhouses. Apart from that, the crafting system (thanks to it we construct useful tools) plays an important role, as well as trade exchange with our neighbors (who in exchange for various goods will share with us the things we need). If one of them knocks on our door, it is better not to wait too long before letting it inside.

Technical aspects

Mr. Prepper's visuals are of decent quality - its colorful palette and futuristic designs of the devices in the hideout contrast with the dystopian atmosphere of the game.
