Space Punks is an isometric looter shooter developed by Warsaw-based Flying Wild Hog, responsible for the Shadow Warrior series. The player takes on the role of one of the galactic adventurers, tearing through hordes of enemies in pursuit of money and fame.
Space Punks is a twin-stick looter shooter developed by Warsaw-based studio Flying Wild Hog, known for its Shadow Warrior series. In the game we play as a group of space adventurers traveling through distant planets in pursuit of money. The publisher of the game is Jagex Partners.
Mechanics
Space Punks is a twin-stick shooter in which the action is observed from an isometric view. Gameplay is based on beating hordes of enemies, collecting resources dropped by them and acquiring better and better weapons. As befits a looter shooter, weapons come in different degrees of rarity, shown by color. Together with rarity, the weapon's parameters increase. We have miniguns, swords, blasters, shotguns, sniper rifles, rockets and flamethrowers, among others.
The player can choose from four playable characters with different skills. The main character, Duke, can place holograms that attract enemy fire. His companions have at their disposal, among others, a battering charge, short-range teleportation, scattering mines or stabbing enemies with psionic claws. Using their skills, the player's task is to cut through crowds of enemies and defeat powerful bosses.
Game modes
Space Punks can be played solo or in co-op mode for up to four players.
Technical aspects
Graphics use cel-shading and resemble the style of the popular Borderlands series. Expressive colors, omnipresent explosions, light and particle effects can make an impression.
