The Mad Chicken in the Jungle is the first installment of the feathered hero's adventures in the Moorhuhn Jump'n Run subcycle. The title was produced by the German company Phenomedia. The player's task is to help the Mad Chicken find the legendary Mayan treasure. The game is based on classic 2D platformer elements.

The Mad Chicken in the Jungle is Phenomedia's attempt to expand the Moorhuhn brand with another genre - 2D platformers. The game started with the Moorhuhn Jump'n Run subcycle (also known as Moorhuhn Schatzjager).

The plot of the game focuses on the search for the legendary Mayan treasure - the holy talisman Dingsd. The trail leads to an ancient temple located deep in the jungle of the ancient temple. The mad Chicken sets off on a dangerous expedition during which he has to overcome numerous obstacles, avoid dangerous traps, and face wild animals, natives and aliens.

According to the genre convention, the game is based on elements typical for classic 2D platformers. In order to steer the main hero's actions, the player must jump between platforms, avoid traps and fight numerous enemies. The creators prepared a total of 21 boards in several thematically diversified locations.
