Monstrum Description
Monstrum is a survival horror-adventure game. It was developed by Team Junkfish, an independtent studio that has not released any hits up to that point. Monstrum takes the players on board of an abandoned and slowly decaying ship, where they are mysteriously imprisoned and need to find their way out. Simultaneously, they are followed by the eponymous monster. Because we are no match for our adversary, we have to use all possible ways to survive and mislead the beast that constantly breathes down our neck.
The action is observed from the first-person perspective, and the game environment is interactive. Apart from the key areas, the subsequent decks are randomly generated, so they appear different each playthrough, which obviously makes the game harder. The developers also decided to introduce permanent death. It simply means that if the monster catches us, we die, and have to start the game all over again. It is worth noting that the game is compatible with Oculus Rift gogles.
