Monster Raid
RPG game in the style of the Pokemon series. Players take on the role of coaches of creatures that try to develop by fighting with other people or opponents controlled by the AI. The creators have prepared several fun modes, including raids and Arena.
Monster Raid is an RPG in the vein of Pokemon. The production was originally released in 2014 in Korea, and players had to wait until 2016 for its English version. The app was developed by Orca Inc., a team known for such titles as Clumsy Hero, Welcome to the Dungeon or Pot of Legend. Like other projects of this publisher, the described production is available for free, adopting a free-to-play business model.
Mechanics
During the game in Monster Raid we play the role of the hunter and trainer of the title monsters. The production does not have a complicated plot and focuses mainly on the gameplay, in which our goal is to collect more than 350 types of creatures, divided into six main categories, to develop them and to use them in combat. Our results are mainly influenced by the strength of our creatures, which we increase through battles. In short, the more often we get into skirmishes, the more experience we gain and the monsters become stronger and eventually evolve into new forms.
Game modes
Monster Raid developers have prepared several game modes. In addition to the main campaign, in which we carry out various missions for the characters we meet, there are also challenges in dungeons, raids enabling us and other players to hunt for strong creatures, the Arena where we fight with other trainers, or special tasks in the Tower of Trials.
Technical aspects
Monster Raid features two-dimensional visuals. The creators have taken care of a number of stylistically diversified creatures, and during combat we see various effects such as explosions, luminous signs appearing on the ground, etc.
