A dynamic platformer, in which we stand up to fight the enemy virus, spreading in cyberspace. We have nine large levels to overcome. In addition, we can face the second player in the multiplayer.
Monster Frenzy is a comic-style dynamic platformer. The player takes control of funny characters, taking on many dangerous tasks. The only target platform for Monster Frenzy is the Nintendo DS console.
The action of this production takes place in the near future, namely in 2020. There are mass disappearances of people in the world, which the local services are unable to cope with. Soon it turns out that behind the disappearance stands a virus of extraterrestrial origin, which spreads in cyberspace. With Dr. Webstein's help, he also manages to establish that the only way to save the world is to defeat the virus in his own environment. Four brave heroes - Tina, Yo, Giovanni and Greta - join the cybernetic fight.
Monster Frenzy's main mode is Story Mode, which defeats successive sections of the cybernetic world. In total, there are nine main levels to complete. Each stage ends with a boss fight and you can earn bonus levels. Efficient performance of entrusted activities (e.g. matching similar objects) is rewarded in this case as a valuable gift.
During the game, the player jumps to other platforms, solves simple riddles and finally eliminates hostile monsters. The game can be played on one of several different difficulty levels. Newcomers should also be interested in a number of training videos, allowing them to get acquainted with the basics of character control.
For more experienced players, there is a mode called Endless Mode, which assumes the completion of individual levels on time. Meeting the set limit allows in such a case to obtain additional profits. Monster Frenzy also includes a fully fledged multiplayer. Here you can decide between two types of games - to solve puzzles as quickly as possible and stay alive longer than the other participant of the game.
The Monster Frenzy visual luminaire presents a relatively high level of workmanship. The action takes place in parallel on both console screens, and the DS touchscreen is used to perform most of the actions.
