A racing game in which we compete in off-road competitions, sitting behind the wheel of twenty different vehicles - the virtual garage includes SUVs, buggies, muscle cars and special cars like a school bus. The pace of the struggle is increased by the possibility of using power-ups scattered along the routes and an afterburner that provides a momentary acceleration.
Monster 4x4 3D is a racing game developed by Ubisoft. The title enables the players to sit at the helm of off-road cars and take part in dynamic races on off-road tracks.
Mechanics
The devs of Monster 4x4 3D give us twenty vehicles - fast and maneuverable buggies, heavy SUVs, powerful muscle cars and special cars like a garbage truck or school bus. It is behind their steering wheels that we fight for victory on tracks located in five different environments. Although the driving model is purely dexterity, differences in driving between machines are noticeable.
The pace of the struggle is increased by the afterburner which provides us with a momentary acceleration (although when using it, be careful not to overheat the engine) and power-ups which give us an advantage over our opponents (from rockets to shields which protect us from gunfire). The fact that both the vehicles participating in the competition and the obstacles located along the route are susceptible to damage is also significant.
Game modes
The basic mode of gameplay in Monster 4x4 3D is a career consisting of fifteen races and three fights with bosses. In addition, you can polish your skills in fast races.
Technical aspects
Three-dimensional visuals in Monster 4x4 3D present an average level of performance. The sound layer consists not only of engine sounds and a commentator evaluating our actions on the track, but also of heavy metal soundtrack.
