Staying in the city library is one of the breathtaking experiences, especially if the real dragon appears in the middle of the room from nowhere. Bookwyrm, because that's the name of a huge, but friendly creature, asks you for help in solving a certain problem. What is it all about? You will find out after launching the Mixed-Up Fairy Tales program, prepared by Sierra On-Line.

Bookwyrm invites you to a fantastic world where a Bookend - apparently a very bad individual - has mixed up the fairy tales that your mother has told you more than once for a good night. Fairytale characters such as Cinderella or Snow White have huge problems because as a result of the confusion caused, nobody understands the stories associated with them. The solution to the problem falls on your shoulders, as the Bookwyrm dragon has to take care of the fairy tale kingdom.

Mixed-Up Fairy Tales is not much different from other adventures published by Sierra On-Line in the early 1990s. So here we are dealing with the "point & click" interface and command icons located at the top of the screen. Due to the fact that the program was prepared for the youngest computer users, the number of commands that we can give to our hero fell to two ("use" and "see"). An important part of the game is a book with five fairy tales, which should be restored to order. The process of repairing the world begins with finding an appropriate location, unambiguously associated with a fairy tale. After clicking on the matching title in the book, our hero has to help other characters solve their problems. After completing the task, he can set about the next fairy tale. The aim of the game is, of course, to bring all the stories to a happy end, and thus, to defeat the culprit of the whole confusion - Bookend.

The program is characterized by a pleasant to the eye visual setting and decent sound. The game is very easy and pleasant, which is not surprising considering the age group it is aimed at. In case of trouble, you can always ask the dragon for directions, or use the land map, in a clear way showing the location of all locations.
