Mission Kursk is another unofficial extension of the popular real-time strategy Blitzkrieg, prepared by the British company Active Gaming, also responsible for the creation of Mission Barbarossa.

Mission:Kursk

A Campaign Expansion pack for BLITZKRIEG, the popular World War 2 Real Time Strategy game by Nival Interactive.

The 1943 Eastern Front is the setting for Mission:Barbarossa's follow-up. Operation Citadel, also known as the Battle of Kursk, is certainly one of the most popular battles on the Eastern Front after Stalingrad. The Battle of Kursk, which lasted from 4th July to 13th July 1943, marked the last German offensive operation on Russian soil and is famed for its gigantic tank battles and the first wide use on the battlefield of tanks like the Tiger the Ferdinand.

Mission:Kursk offers the player two campaigns covering the German attacks on the Northern and Southern assaults on the Kursk salient. Battle your way through the Russian defence lines to re-fight the great battles at Ponyri and Prokhorovka.
