MIR4 is an MMORPG that uses a free-to-play model with micropayments. Game was developed by Wemade studio. It is the fourth installment of the series started in 2002 by The Legend of Mir: The Three Heroes.

Plot

The action is set in a fantasy world filled with magic, inspired by the mythology of various Asian countries. The plot revolves around the war of several powerful factions for control over the rich Hidden Valley.

Mechanics

MIR4 is a classically realized MMORPG. Starting the game, the player creates a hero, choosing between several classes. Among them we can find a warrior wielding a heavy sword, a sorcerer controlling elements, a lancer and a Taoist supporting his companions with spells.

It was realised in a style typical for MMORPGs and the key role is played by the statistics and abilities of the character, not the player's dexterity. During the game we can perform tasks and eliminate enemies directed by AI, or face other people.

The game focuses heavily on PvP skirmishes. We can take part in large battles between player armies, as well as fight in fortress sieges. Those clashes are fought for control over the Hidden Valley, and the faction wielding it obtains powerful income from taxes.

For those who prefer skirmishes with AI, classic quests are available, as well as huge raids in which up to 50 players must join forces against powerful enemies and bosses. There are also activities for more peaceful users. The game allows you to collect resources and plants, produce items or trade.

An interesting element is the reward system. After defeating a boss, chests with rewards are available to everyone, including those players who did not participate in the fight. In order not to lose their prizes, the team must defend the chests from other users for 30 seconds.
