A free fan-made 2D web-based game, later published by Bohemia Interactive. The production was based on the survival game DayZ, which in turn was a full-fledged version of an ArmA II mod. In terms of content and mechanics, MiniDayZ is not much different from the original — the game is set in the zombie-infested Chernarus and you, as one of the survivors, are trying to last as long as your can in the hostile world.

MiniDayZ is a free action browser game inspired by the legendary modification of Bohemia Interactive's ArmA II shooting game. The title was developed by one of the mother game fans and gained so much recognition of the publishers that it was decided to make it available on the home page of DayZ.

The general assumptions of the game do not differ significantly from what DayZ proposed to us. In the game we travel through familiar areas of the fictitious post-communist land called Montenegro, which some time ago was hit by a terrible zombie epidemic. We play the role of one of the survivors and our main task is to survive in an unfriendly environment. In order to do so, we are forced to explore vast areas in search of food and supplies necessary for survival. From the found elements we create various useful tools and weapons, which will be useful in confrontation with living corpses. What we have to avoid are other survivors and larger groups of zombies, which will not be as easy to defeat as the elimination of individual specimens.
