Midnight Murder Club

Midnight Murder Club is an action game developed for multiplayer gameplay over the Internet. The production was developed by the independent American team Velan Studios (whose portfolio includes the Knockout City project), while its release was handled by Sony Interactive Entertainment (as PlayStation Publishing).

Storyline

In Midnight Murder Club, we receive an invitation to a luxurious mansion from the title club. Upon arrival, we are provided with a mask hiding our identity, a gun and a flashlight. We then find ourselves in a building bathed in total darkness, where we face a fight to the death with other club members.

Gameplay

In Midnight Murder Club, we view the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). The gameplay takes place in corridors and halls in which there is complete darkness, making it impossible to see enemies or details of the surroundings. Although nothing prevents you from combating this inconvenience by turning on the flashlight, at the same time it will make you visible to enemies.

For this reason, it is often better to at least listen to the sounds of steps and gunshots or look out for the lights emitted by enemy flashlights. The game also implements proximity voice chat, which allows us to contact other players.

In addition to effective tactics, our chances of victory are increased by "power-ups" scattered around the residence . These include pills that allow us to see in the dark, a bulletproof vest, traps to set for enemies and Molotov cocktails.

Coop and other game modes

Midnight Murder Club allows only multiplayer gameplay over the Internet. The title offers modes that allow up to 6 players to cooperate and compete. In addition to simple Free-for-All and Team Deathmatch, there are objective-based Head Hunters (where you have to guard special totems or try to destroy them) and Thief in the Night (the player who gets the most loot wins).
