Midgard is the second, after Anarchy Online, production of the Scandinavian company Funcom in the genre of massive multiplayer online. This time the action takes place in the world of Scandinavian mythology, where players become members of a large community of fearless warriors and have almost complete freedom of action. You can take care of literally everything, from life in a small village to the position of the leader of a clan.
We also have almost unlimited possibilities to create our character, develop its coefficients and abilities and many professions such as smithery, fishing, farming, hunting, merchandising or the arts of war. Wishing to use magic we create our character as a shaman. We can use magical forces, evoke the supernatural power of the Viking gods: Odin or Thor, and create magical items, weapons, etc.
A lot of strategic and economic elements were used in the game, including the management of raw materials and social and social dependencies. For example, being one of the leaders, we must take care of good relations with our neighbours and that our people have work and food.
The game was made in three-dimensional graphics using the latest achievements of 3D accelerators, which allowed us to reflect the specific, incredibly picturesque and atmospheric Nordic climate.
