Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor – The Bright Lord for PC, PS4 and etc. is the second big DLC for the well-received action game Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. The game, where gameplay focuses on the unique Nemesis system, takes the players to the world known from the Lord of the Rings and gives them a chance to face hordes of orcs that roam the Middle-earth. In The Bright Lord DLC, despite the fact that gameplay remains unchanged, players control a completely new character and the action takes place in different times.
The Plot
This time, we play as Celebrimbor, an elven king who decided to stand against the evergrowing power of Sauron and stop him from gettings his hands on what in Celebrimbor’s opinion threatens the safety of the entire world, the One Ring that Sauron once crafted. The fact that the Dark Lord had caused Celebrimor’s family a lot of suffering only motivates our hero for his one-man vendetta.
Mechanics
In comparison with the base game, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor – The Bright Lord for PC, PS4 and etc. uses slightly different combat mechanics – Celebrimbor is a much better archer, he is more agile, and has the powers of the One Ring at his disposal. He can use it to mind control his opponents and even force them to fight with each other. From time to time we can use it to become invisible, which allows us to use a couple of new tactics.
Technical Aspects
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor – The Bright Lord for PC, PS4 and etc. does not introduce any changes when it comes to visuals. Textures are still of the highest quality, our hero and his enemies are still smoothly animated, and the game’s world still uses grimm and mysterious colour scheme.
