Metal Slug XX Description
Metal Slug XX is an improved edition of the seventh edition of the popular series of two-dimensional shooters from the Metal Slug series, released in 2008 on the Nintendo DS console. The developers, SNK Playmore, have introduced a number of new features to enhance the game and make it visually better, taking into account the PS4, PSP and X360 features.
In Metal Slug XX we are members of the legendary Falcon Strike Force. Marco Rossi, Tarma Roving, Fiolina Germi, Eri Kasamoto, as well as Ralf Jones and Clark Still from King of Fighters, who appeared here for the first time in the sixth edition of Metal Slug. The role of the main evil, of course, was played by General Donald Morden, supported by an army of soldiers of the future.
The Metal Slug XX gameplay was maintained in the style characteristic for the series. Using a parachute, we land in the middle of an enemy-controlled territory, entering the fighting with virtually no unnecessary stoppages. Usually we only move in one direction. A controlled character can not only shoot, but also jump, which should be carefully used in the fight against General Morden's troops. They also make our efforts in reaching higher situated fragments of maps, which usually include various bonuses and prisoners of war, for the release of which we receive not only gifts, but also the opportunity to noticeably increase the amount of points.
In addition to standard soldiers, we also fight against armoured vehicles and exceptionally powerful bosses. The controlled character uses mainly machine guns, rifles and rocket launchers, although there is also a possibility of carrying out attacks with a knife. Grenades are also useful, especially when you want to kill a larger group of enemies. However, we wouldn't have done too much if it weren't for the access to special machines, with a standard Metal Slug at the forefront. We have at our disposal already known modifications, including mosses and planes, as well as completely new proposals - Giant Slug, Heavy Armor and Slug Truck.
Metal Slug XX differs from the Nintendo DS edition with several elements. First of all, the graphic design has been improved. PS4, PSP and X360 owners can also take part in Combat School mode, which consists of nearly 70 mini games. They were also provided with a mode of cooperation via WiFi.
