Mercenaries Lament: Requiem of the Silver Wolf is a tactical jRPG game, representing a brand developed by RideonJapan. The production is the seventh installment of the Mercenaries series, which includes such items as the three parts of the Mercenaries Saga subseries, as well as Mercenaries Wings: The False Phoenix, Mercenaries Blaze: Dawn of the Twin Dragons and Mercenaries Rebirth: Call of the Wild Lynx.

Storyline

Mercenaries Lament: Requiem of the Silver Wolf takes us to a fantastic land consumed by a mysterious plague that turns people into zombies. It is traversed by mercenaries who, for a fee, clear designated areas of the undead.

One of them is Johann at the head of the Silver Wolf company, who one day meets the Grim Reaper. Although the hero escapes with his life, he gets a warning that in 100 days his luck will run out. When Johann unexpectedly meets a young woman who can heal the disease the continent is facing, without hesitation he decides to embark on a journey with her to save as many lives as possible.

Gameplay

In Mercenaries Lament: Requiem of the Silver Wolf we view the action in an isometric view. During the game we lead a team of characters and traverse locations, talk to the inhabitants of the land and perform tasks. In addition, we often come to fight against enemies.

Clashes take place in turn-based mode, in arenas covered with a grid of square p?l. On the battlefield, the key to success is, first of all, the appropriate deployment of individual team members. This is because the combat value of our subordinates is increased by the advantage of height over adversaries, as well as by attacking from the side or from behind.

In addition, after completing a special indicator, team members can enter the "Advent Soul" state, gaining reinforcements and being able to launch so-called Advent attacks. We are talking about special coordinated moves available when the opponent is between two of our characters. In addition, in the Advent state, we receive special abilities at our disposal called Soul Exceed, which are unique to individual heroes and heroines.

As we progress, we develop characters using skill points. It is worth remembering that they are not tied to their classes, so the latter can be freely changed.
