Colourful 2D platformer, classified in the category of endless runners. We play the role of a nice red creature, who sets out to rescue his siblings, kidnapped by a mysterious monster. The game boils down to jumping over obstacles as well as the chasm and neutralizing creatures circulating on the platforms. During the game we also collect coins and precious stones.

Mega Run is a 2D arcade game released on PC and tablets with Windows 8.1, which belongs to the category of so-called endless runners. The game was created by an independent Canadian studio Get Set Games, focusing on mobile productions.

Plot

In Mega Run, we play as Redford, a red creature living in the forest (the creature is slightly reminiscent of Om Nom from the Cut the Rope series). One day, his sister and brother are kidnapped and imprisoned by a mysterious monster - Redford embarks on a long and dangerous journey to find and save his siblings.

Mechanics

The mechanics of Mega Run resemble, to a large extent, typical 2D arcade games like Sonic. The difference is that we don't have full control over our hero. Redford is constantly moving forward, slowing down slightly only when he performs more complex evolutions or after he hits an obstacle. Our task is to avoid obstacles and jump over chasms and creatures moving on platforms. We can also eliminate them by jumping on their heads, which also results in a second longer jump. The authors took care of the randomness of individual levels, so you can go through them many times without the feeling of fatigue. The fun is diversified by the need to collect coins (which can be used for shopping in the game store) and three gems hidden in each stage.
