A collection of classic 2D platform games from the popular Mega Man series created by Capcom. This production is a sequel to Mega Man Legacy Collection, released in 2015, and it offers four games that were absent in the aforementioned collection.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, released on PC, SWITCH and etc. is a collection of four classic 2D platform games created by Capcom. This game is a sequel to Mega Man Legacy Collection, released in 2015, and offers main entries from the series that were not included in the previous collection.
The bundle consists of four games. The first is Mega Man 7, initially released in 1995 on Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The second one is Mega Man 8, released a year later on 32-bit consoles – PlayStation and Sega Saturn. The third game is Mega Man 9, that came out in 2008 on Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Mega Man 10, the last title in this collection, was released a year later on the same platforms as the previous game.
All games take place on Earth around the end of the 21st century, and the main hero in all of them is the titular Mega Man – a humanoid robot with artificial intelligence created by an inventor, Thomas Light. His main enemy is, as always, Doctor Wily, a crazy scientist, as well as robots that are his creation. In the beginning of some of the campaigns it may seem that someone else is responsible for all tragedies but, in the end, it turns out that Wily was behind all of this.
Even though the games, that are part of this bundle released on PC, SWITCH and etc., were released over the years they all have similar game mechanics. We get four 2D platform games in which the main elements are exploration of big maps, collecting items and avoiding traps.
Each one of the four games focuses on fights during which we can use futuristic weapons. The campaigns are full of fights with diverse bosses. Defeating them usually allows us to get their unique attacks. The games are very hard, the challenges are creative and the content is rich.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 offers full single player campaigns in all of the games that are part of this collection. In addition to that there is a challenge mode that allows players to check out modified versions of classic levels with new challenges. Our score is displayed in the rankings along with those belonging to other players.
Mega Man 7 is the only game in the bundle that offers a multiplayer mode in which two players can face each other on small arenas.
A virtual museum is an additional attraction. The museum is full of information, pictures and sketches that document how the games were developed.

Game Ratings for Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 Video Game.
ZTGD: 8 / 10 by Justin Celani
Some new players might be off put by the jump in quality between the older and newer games in the pack, or even the difficulty some of these provide, but for the price, it's a nice little package to have.
DualShockers: 8 / 10 by Jordan Boyd
Now that Capcom has ported all of the main entry games to console, I hope that they bring us the Mega Man X games next in a collection. Or maybe even Mega Man Legends 3 — a guy can dream, right? If you haven't played the original six games, I'd say the original Mega Man Legacy Collection is a better buy in terms of quality when compared to this one, but nonetheless, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is still great, and the best way to replay these classics.
Shacknews: 8 / 10 by Kevin Tucker
All things considered, the inherent value of Mega Man Legacy Collections one and two can only be determined by specific player interest. These collections might be nice and new, but the experiences within are distinctly old-school, providing the sort of gritty, challenging platforming action that feels increasingly rare in the current era of gaming.
