Medal of Honor: Warfighter Description
Medal of Honor: Warfighter is an FPS and a sequel to a game released in 2010, which was a restart of the now classic franchise. Similarly to that game, the new installment is set in modern times, and it too was developed by Danger Close Studios.
The game’s protagonists are the commandos known from the previous installment of the series, but the character central to the story is Preacher. The conflict revolves around PETN (penthrite) - a dangerous substance used by terrorists for elaborate attacks. All the missions included in the single player campaign were based on actual events. During the game you can visit e.g. Somalia, Yemen, Bosnia, and the Philippines.
During the game, you can participate in large-scale military operations. One of the innovations to gameplay is breaching panel that allows you breach the door to the next room by planting an explosive charge or throwing in a flash grenade. Furthermore, the creators took care to improve AI of both friendlies and hostiles. Military experts from all around the world were invited to work on the game, which helped to realistically recreate the conditions on a battlefield.
Multiplayer mode allows you to play as a member of one of top twelve special forces in the world. Among British SAS or American SEALs, there is also Polish GROM, recreated with the help of its former member. The key role in online play has Fire Team feature, which promotes co-operation with your partner and your team and rewards assisting in eliminating enemies, sharing bullets, or helping up a wounded comrade.
Medal of Honor uses a graphics engine called Frostbite 2, known mainly from Battlefield 3. As a result, you can admire detailed environment, dynamic lighting, and soldiers animations created with motion capture technique.
