Mathews Bowhunting is a production of developers from Zoo Games, addressed to hunting enthusiasts who are bored with simulations of virtual hunting with firearms. The game was created in cooperation with Mathews Inc., an American manufacturer of archery and hunting equipment.

The player plays the role of a hunter and, equipped with a specialized bow, has the opportunity to go to the most famous American fishing grounds to hunt animals such as rabbits, squirrels, ducks, deer, wild boars, elks or bears.

The game offers three game modes: Target Practice, Arcade and Classic Hunt. The latter plays the role of the main campaign, posing more and more difficult hunting challenges for the player.

The game combines simulation and dexterity elements. The creators made sure that virtual animals behave like their counterparts in nature. The applied physics system takes into account a number of parameters influencing the flight path of the shot.
