Marvel Avengers Academy Description
Marvel Avengers Academy is an economic strategy about managing a school for superheroes, released for Android and iOS mobile devices. The game was released in a free-to-play model with microtransactions, and was developed by TinyCo, known from Family Guy The Quest for Stuff.
Plot
In Marvel Avengers Academy, available on AND and iOS mobile devices, we play as a headmaster of a superheroes school. Our task is to train a new generation of heroes. Among the students, we can find well-known Marvel characters such as Loki, Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Black Widow, Iron Man or Captain America. As expected, however, these characters are very different from their comic and movie versions. They are younger, less experienced and with problems typical for teenagers.
The game is kept in a light comedic atmosphere and doesn't take the world of superheroes seriously.
Mechanics
Marvel Avengers Academy is an economic strategy game with a few RPG elements. The player has to manage the school, choose a timetable and organize activities and events. The academy has a boarding house, so it is also necessary to take care of the stutends' comfort and safety. The game also requires you to deal with budget management and balancing revenues and expenditures.
Superheroes do not have to spend every hour of their day at school. Instead, we have the option of sending them on missions where they can test themselves. These missions range from simple and short tasks to epic adventures that can take a week to complete. It is also necessary to take care of the emotional development of the characters. The protagonists create groups of friends, look for love, and deal with the typical problems of adolescence.
