Plot
The gameplay of Marble Age spans 4000 years, from 3000 BC to 1000 AD. The game is set in ancient Greece and your task is to lead a tribe and to turn their village into a prosperous city.
There are over 100 historical events you participate in during the game, such as the Persian invasion and Alexander the Great's conquests.
Mechanics
Marble Age was inspired by many other similar games. The game utilizes an isometric view, and you mostly have to gather resources, expand your village and erect new buildings, and acquiring new lands. The latter can be done by either forging alliances (you can trade with your allies by selling them surplus resources or items) or by conquering others (the battles are automatic and you cannot directly affect their outcome). It allows you to found a new polis or an overseas colony. You can also develop new technologies using a special tree.
Technical aspects
The production features simple but clean cartoonish visuals. Novice players may like the accessible and intuitive interface, which varies slightly on different platforms in order to accommodate their specifics.
