Mechanics

MapleStory Blitz is a combination of card and strategy game. Players gradually build up a collection of cards, enabling them to use different characters (e.g. Mercedes, Phantom, Oz, Kyrin, Demonslayer) and monsters on the battlefield, as well as use various types of additional abilities and buffs. The battles themselves are presented on three-dimensional maps and played in real-time - each of them is limited by a time counter, in which one side must gain an advantage over the other. Battles are therefore fast and intense.

Nexon's production includes both PvP (Player vs. Player) and PvE (Player vs. Environment) modes but focuses on multiplayer mode. The game offers an extensive leaderboard, on which the players climb with successive victories.

Technical aspects

MapleStory Blitz's graphics can be an eye-catcher - they are incredibly colourful and resemble an animated video. Attention is drawn to the beautiful manga illustrations on individual cards. The user interface does not differ from the standards of modern mobile games and cleverly uses the benefits of touchscreens (for example, we point the direction of some attacks by swiping our finger on the screen).
