ManagerZone is a browser-based management game developed and developed since 2001 by the Swedish company Power Challenge AB. A characteristic feature of the game, which distinguishes it from competing titles on the market is the fact that in Manager Zone in one and the same game, users have the ability to lead both football and hockey teams. In both cases, the game is subordinated to the same mechanics, but takes into account all the characteristic elements of the selected sport.

As in any managerial game, the goal of each player is to take care of all aspects of the functioning of a football or hockey team. Compared to the majority of competing managers, the complexity of the game has been greatly expanded. Our duties include taking care of the team composition and tactics for subsequent meetings, organizing trainings, monitoring the transfer market, taking care of the junior school, as well as managing the staff of the club. An important element of each manager's activities is also the expansion of the stadium infrastructure and taking care of the financial condition of the club.

Starting the game we get a team consisting of 19 players, the amount of 100 thousand Euros and a stadium, which can be expanded during the game. The income in the game comes from several different sources, including sponsorship agreements, ticket revenues, as well as the promotion or sale of players. A characteristic feature of ManagerZone is the fact that the game does not offer a single, proven way to success. Players can focus on training and experience in a group of U18, U21 and U23 juniors, or throw themselves into the deep water, taking care of the first team.

In the game the competition takes place in leagues, assigned from above to a given country. Users from countries that do not have an equivalent in the game are assigned to a fictitious MZ country. The league season lasts 13 weeks, during which players take part in both friendly and league matches, as well as a number of cup competitions, including the Champions Cup, dedicated to the best teams from each country. In addition to a pre-imposed schedule, each of the participants can create their own league or cup tournaments (e.g. City Tournament, bringing together all managers from a given city). There are also regular battles in the Clan League created by the players themselves.
