Maize for PC and PS4 is a light-hearted adventure game, inspired by Monty Python’s absurd humour and the weirdest cases from the X-Files TV series. The title was created by an independent Canadian studio Finish Line Games, which debuted in 2014 with Cel Damage HD – a cartoon remake of a intensive racing game released on the sixth generation consoles.

Plot

The plot of Maize is a somewhat original attempt to answer the question “how far can modern science go”. The story begins when a secret government note falls into the lap of two scientists, who interpret it in a wrong way. As a result, they manage to grow a self-aware and intelligent corn in an underground research complex. The action takes place in an abandoned American farm that is located above the aforementioned complex, while the players assume the role of a corn cob that tries to investigate the mysterious conspiracy that resulted in its creation.
