Mad Dash Racing Description
Mad Dash Racing is a crazy and at the same time very dynamic skillfulness game, in which we observe the events from the perspective of a third person. We are dealing here with a rather unusual racing game, in many respects reminiscent of Sonic R. Just like in that production, cartoon characters take part in the competition. Moreover, they do not use any vehicles on their own strength. Crystal Dynamics studio is responsible for the production of this game, well known for such titles as Tomb Raider: Legend, Project: Snowblind, or Whiplash. Mad Dash Racing was created exclusively for Microsoft console owners.
This production has a certain plot, but in the course of proper play it plays at most a negligible role. Generally, the whole fun comes down to taking part in races organized in many different types of locations. This is one of the main advantages of the described production. The routes prepared by the manufacturers are extensive, and the competitions themselves often have a very non-linear course. At the same time, it is worth mentioning that in singleleplayer mode, in addition to racing players are waiting for duels with bosses. However, they have a slightly different course than in the case of classic three-dimensional platformers.
Each of the playable characters (there are nine in total) has specific skills. Players have their strengths and weaknesses. The choice of a character plays a rather important role. What deserves attention is the exceptionally wide range of behaviours (swimming, slides, etc.), which have to be used many times during a proper play. In addition, it is possible to lift power-ups scattered all over the map. Most of them allow you to set traps. These can be explosives or even huge boulders.
As befits a classic console game, Mad Dash Racing offers many hidden bonuses. These can be small mini-games or completely new routes. This arcade game also has a full-fledged multiplayer for four people. Visually Mad Dash Racing looks quite average. Definitely more interesting is the sound layer. During the game you can listen to the songs of such artists as Moby, Crystal Method, or Fatboy Slim.
