Clinics II: Arena is a network action game enriched with RPG elements. The production is the heir to the popular Vindictus and, like him, focuses on small instances for small groups of players. The whole was developed by DevCat studio.
The action of the game is located in the gloomy fantasy world known as Avalon, for which the war is waged by powerful deities. Their secrets are discovered by the players playing the so-called Oriana Warriors. According to the title, most locations have the form of large arenas where other players sit on the stands. Apart from observing the course of the action, they may also have a limited influence on the course of the action, e.g. by throwing objects. When a place in the group of fighters is released, it is from the audience that substitutes are recruited. In addition, the heroes have the opportunity to share objects with the audience.
The heart of the game are dynamic battles. While creating characters, players choose from five professions and the same number of fighting styles and body structure types. All this affects the character's combat capabilities, his speed, strength and available attack techniques. The combat system is an extension of the solutions of Vindictus and resembles good action games. The skills of the players themselves play a key role here, and it is their agility that determines the outcome of the clashes. Character statistics, on the other hand, are of secondary importance. During the skirmishes we use a wide range of weaponry. There were also combs and trained animals that serve as mounts, which required the participation of several people.
As far as graphics are concerned, the authors abandoned the Source engine known from the original and replaced it with their own technology called Silvervine, which provides a much higher level of detail and more attractive light and molecular effects.
