Lynn and the Spirits of Inao is a 2D platform game developed by the French studio Bloomylight. The game takes place in the magical land of Inao where people and spirits live in harmony. Their peaceful existence is threatened by the tormented souls that, driven by pain, start to hunt mortals. It is up to Lynn, a girl who was trained by Inao's highest priestess, and her small demon companion Aku to fix that.

Plot

The game takes place in the magical land of Inao where people and spirits live in harmony. Their peaceful existence is threatened by the tormented souls that, driven by pain, start to hunt mortals. We play as a girl named Lynn and her small demon companion Aku. It is up to them to fix the entire situation. Our heroine is the best candidate to do so, because she has spent a couple of years on training with Inao’s highest priestess.

Mechanics

In terms of gameplay, Lynn and the Spirits of Inao for AND, iOS and etc. is a typical 2D platform game with some logical games elements. As we play, we explore various areas, avoid obstacles and traps, and fight with the encountered enemies. We will also have to solve various riddles. Lynn an Aku have completely different skills and abilities, which plays a crucial role in solving logical and agility-based challenges. We will also have to fight with powerful bosses.

Game levels are open to some degree. If we are thorough in our exploration, we will receive certain rewards. Developers also implemented character progression mechanics that alow us to learn new powers. Our adventures are going to be more interesting thanks to the game’s day/night cycle. That mechanic visibly influences our enemies’ behaviour and our powers.

Technical Aspects

Lynn and the Spirits of Inao for AND, iOS and etc. features eye-pleasing 2D visuals. The whole game was designed to resemble Japanese animated movies, both in terms of character animation and background detail.
