Lume, released on PC and iOS, is the first installment of the series of logical adventure games from State of Play Games studio, whose distinguishing feature is an unusual graphic style. During the production process, the creators used their own cardboard mock-ups of buildings, which were then transferred to the virtual world. In addition, the title has received several industry awards, including the India Showcase 2012, IGF Awards 2012 and the European Games Awards 2012.
Plot
We play as the titular Lume, a young girl whose task is to find the lost grandfather and restore electricity in the city. To do this, she has to set off on a journey through a small metropolis, find traces left by the family member and solve various problems.
Mechanics
The gameplay in Lume is focused on various logical mini-games, in which we have to connect the cables in a broken device, arrange puzzles, etc. The gameplay isn't challenging, but some puzzles can cause small problems.
Technical aspects
Lume is not a very extensive production, as it is only an introduction to Lumino City released in December 2014. The continuation developed the ideas used in the first game - the creators focused most on improving the graphics, which turned out to be even better than in the first part.
