An RPG game developed by the Game Freak team, in which we find ourselves in a village plagued by terrifying monsters. While playing Town we mainly deal with repelling subsequent monster attacks. During the breaks between skirmishes we can talk to the inhabitants of the settlement - this way we learn about their needs and troubles.

Town is an RPG game created by the Game Freak studio - a team whose extensive portfolio is dominated by productions from the Pokemon brand, however, they have also developed such titles as Drill Dozer created for Game Boyu Advance, Rhythm Hunter: Harmo Knight which was released on the Nintendo 3DS console or the multiplatform game Tembo the Badass Elephant.

Story

Town takes us on a journey to a fantasy land, to be more precise - to the titular village, which is adjacent to a mighty castle, whose inhabitants, unaware of a secret hidden within the area, enjoy a peaceful life. When the settlement is attacked by terrifying monsters, the citizens have to face and defeat the threat at all cost.

Mechanics

In Town the action is shown from the third person perspective (TPP). The gameplay revolves around turn-based clashes against the monsters mentioned above, in which both the protagonist, who is controlled by the player, and the villagers who are aiding him, take part. During the skirmishes, the player must show a tactical mindset and skillfully select orders given to individual units, while taking into account, e.g. the topography of the terrain or the locations of various buildings. During the time between battles, you can talk to the numerous NPCs, and learn about their needs and problems.

Technical issues

Town has colorful, three-dimensional graphics in an anime style. The game also features a catchy soundtrack that creates an atmosphere of a great adventure.
