Life in Bunker Description
Life in Bunker is a postapocalyptic economic strategy released on PC. The game was developed by Flox Studios.
Plot
The action of Life in Bunker takes place in an undefined, but not too distant future, some time after the nuclear war transformed our planet into a radioactive wasteland. The only people who survived were those who managed to hide in underground bunkers. We play as the manager of one of such bunkers. Our task is to ensure that our community survives until it is possible to return to the surface.
Mechanics
The world in Life in Bunker is generated procedurally for each new game. The player has access to four underground floors, so that the shelter can be extended not only horizontally, but also vertically. Our bunker is inhabited by characters belonging to one of the six professions. An occupation, however, is not the only element determining the behavior and usefulness of an individual person, and each of the inhabitants also has unique features and personality.
The basic task of the player is to efficiently manage resources such as water, electricity, clean air, iron ore, food, garbage, and building materials. Throughout the game we are troubled by the lack of all resources, so every decision must be well thought out. It is also necessary to expand the shelter and research new technologies.
Another hindrance is the system of random events, which can bring such problems as infections, diseases, power shortages or equipment failures. In addition, as time passes, our inhabitants slowly get older and eventually die. That is why we must ensure that the characters have children capable of taking over the responsibilities of their parents.
