Level 22: Gary's Misadventure, released on PC, PS3, etc., is a humorous stealth game. The production was developed by Moving Player studio.
Plot
The action takes place in modern times, and we play as a man named Gary, who is a regular employee of a corporation. After drinking a lot last night, he wakes up late for work. What is worse, he already has a lot of cases of being late - recently, he was warned that the next one might turn out to be his last. In order to avoid being fired, he has to sneak into his workplace quietly without anyone noticing him.
Mechanics
Our task in Level 22: Gary's Misadventure is to break through the titular twenty-two floors of the big skyscraper. The action is observed from a camera placed high above the character's head. On each level, our goal is to get from the starting point to the place leading to the higher level. It's not easy, because we are faced with a large number of corporate staff, starting from security guards, through cleaning crew, to other employees.
Players must use all available methods to avoid detection by other employees. During the game, we sneak behind the characters' backs, hide behind obstacles or inside wardrobes and boxes as well as crawl through ventilation shafts. Sometimes, even these actions turn out to be insufficient - if that happens, we will have to try to divert the attention of other characters, e.g. by leaving doughnuts in plain sight to attract guards, or overturning a beverage machine, which will cause the noise that lures out the people around us.
As a last resort, we can opt for more aggressive methods. Gary can e.g. make people unconsciousness, poison them with gas or expose them to harmful radiation, as well as feed them with laxatives. All these brutal actions, however, are depicted in a humorous way.
