Lethal League is an unusual arcade game developed by the independent studio Team Reptile. The production debuted in 2014 on PC, and after almost three years it was released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Mechanics

The action in Lethal League is presented from the side. The game focues on the struggle of up to four characters bounding an antigravitational ball, which gains speed after each rebound. Out task is to eliminate the opponent by hitting him or her in the face. Since we have a wide variety of players at our disposal, success requires us to develop their unique features and use various moves and special abilities. It is worth mentioning that the heroes differ in style of play. For example, Raptor fights with a baseball bat, Switch uses a skateboard, while Sonata, a powerful hammer.

Game modes

Lethal League can be played both solo, against AI-controlled opponents (in a special challenge mode, the crowning achievement of our efforts is a clash with a powerful boss), as well as in the company of up to three other players. Multiplayer enables us to have fun together not only on the Internet, but also on split screen.

Technical aspects

The main strength of Lethal League is the audio-visual layer. The two-dimensional visuals draw on cartoons from the 1990s, while the battles are accompanied by a catchy soundtrack, which consists of songs representing the big-beat, hip-hop and house genres.
