Lemnis Gate is an original game that tries to combine turn-based strategy game with a first-person shooter. The key role in this game is to control yourself in time and play the same moments once again.
Lemnis Gate is an unusual game that combines elements of strategy game and first-person shooter. The game uses the science fiction convention (it is mainly about time control motif). The studio Ratloop Games Canada is responsible for its development, while Frontier Foundry is the publisher.
Mechanics
At first glance, Lemnis Gate resembles a classic first-person shooter, but in reality the game rules are much more complicated here. The game is divided into rounds lasting 25 seconds - each participant is given enough time to perform a specific action, e.g. shooting the enemy or hiding. When everyone makes their moves (one by one), the next 25-second sequence begins.
But that's not all, because at Lemnis Gate, players also have the opportunity to influence the turns that have already been made and thus change the course of events. The game forces the participants to think in four dimensions (the fourth is time). Thanks to this unusual mechanics we can even play in cooperation with ourselves (or rather with our version from previous rounds).
During the game we have a wide range of characters with different skills at our disposal - some can create protective fields, others perform attacks with poisonous substances, and still others slow down the time to make it easier to aim. Individual heroes are adapted to different styles of play.
Game modes
In Lemnis Gate we can only play with others. The basis of the game is the online multiplayer mode.
Technical aspects
Lemnis Gate has quite a typical, three-dimensional graphic design. Character and ambient models are characterized by a decent level of detail, but it is rather not a game that sets new standards for the genre in this area. The artistic style is also quite average, with a lot of typical motifs associated with the science ficiton convention.

Despite an 86% Positive Rating on Steam, Shooter Will Soon Disappear
The creators of the original network shooter Lemnis Gate have announced that the game will soon disappear from Steam. Despite positive player reviews, the game survived less than two years on the market.
