LEGO Batman: The Videogame Description
LEGO Batman: The Videogame for PC, X360 and etc. is another game featuring the popular bricks, developed by Traveller's Tales (also known from the well-received LEGO Star Wars series). The production was published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE). The game was released for almost every available platform — PC Windows and both previous and current generation consoles. Like LEGO Star Wars, the game blends the world of Danish bricks with another universe — this time, the one of Batman.
Plot
LEGO Batman: The Videogame is an action game with adventure elements. As it usually happens in Batman stories, Gotham City is engulfed in chaos. Your task is to bring back the peace and defeat the villains, who have escaped from Arkham Asylum, such as the Joker, Penguin, and Two-Face. Batman is accompanied by his sidekick Robin and Bruce Wayne's loyal butler, Alfred Pennyworth. During the game, you explore the LEGO brick world, fight enemies, and solve simple logic puzzles (such as building various constructions, including the Batmobile and villain traps).
Mechanics
The dark, satin visuals of the game excellently convey the atmosphere of Gotham City, with its shadowy skyscrapers and streets. Lighting and full moon are a frequent sight and a background of many a duel of spectacular chase, accompanied by dramatic symphonic music. The fact that it's a LEGO game adds a bit of slightly absurd humor and makes it attractive the a younger audience.
LEGO Batman: The Video Game features a co-op mode, also used LEGO Star Wars. Every available character has their own, unique abilities, which must be used during the game. Since the playable characters include the villains, the players can also battle each other. The game is full of humorous elements and during cutscenes, you don't hear the character' speak, as they only make amusing grunts.
