Legacy is an economic strategy game that revolves around constructing inventions and then distributing them. The player creates new items from existing subcomponents and then has to organize their production on a large scale by building factories, obtaining raw materials and hiring employees. At the end of the day, you are faced with the task of selling all of it effectively.
Legacy is an economic strategy game in which we manage a company producing and selling inventions. It was developed by 22cans, also known for Godus, Curiosity: What's Inside the Cube? and The Trail: Frontier Challenge. The game's creative lead is Peter Molyneux, known for Dungeon Keeper, Populous and Black & White.
Mechanics
The game expands upon the ideas from The Entrepreneur, a 1984 text-based economic strategy game, Peter Molyneux's first project. Legacy has us playing as an inventor, combining various components to create new things. The player has lots of creative freedom, being able to construct toys, buildings, tools, electrical devices and many others. One can also go completely nuts, creating such things as a skateboard armed with live ammo.
Noteworthy inventions will start selling in large amounts. Once they do, the game gains some company management mechanics. We must hire employees, order lots of resources, build factories, balance expenses and income.
Legacy forces players to make difficult decisions, as being a good employer runs contrary to reaching the top of the business world. To achieve success, we must put morality aside.
Game modes
Legacy only supports solo play.
Technical aspects
The game features appealing, 3D visuals and a cartoonish artstyle, with slightly exaggerated, over-the-top characters.
