Le Mans Ultimate Description
Le Mans Ultimate is a car simulator recreating the 2023 season of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) - an endurance racing championship held by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). The game first originated at Motorsport Games and was later entrusted to its experienced subsidiary, Studio 397, known for rFactor 2.
Gameplay
Much of the experience the team gained while developing rFactor 2 was used when creating Le Mans Ultimate. The game features advanced car physics and realistic races, taking all rules and changing weather conditions into account. There are also some assists implemented, thanks to which even inexperienced players should have a good time here.
Contrary to the title, the game recreates more than just the famous 24-hour race on the French Circuit de la Sarthe. Other rounds of the WEC championships, taking place on tracks such as Spa-Francorchamps, Monza, Bahrain, Sebring, Portimao and Fuji, are also implemented.
We'll get to drive cars of various classes, such as Hypercar, LMP2 and GTE. The first class is the most prevalent one, featuring cars of such brands as Porsche, Ferrari, Peugeot and Toyota, which only began participating in the race in 2023. Lower categories include cars produced by Aston Martin or Chevrolet.
Game modes
Le Mans Ultimate features races against the AI or other players online. There are also asynchronous long-distance co-op races, in which several drivers take turns driving the same car, participating when time allows.
Technology
Le Mans Ultimate is largely based on the content previously created for rFactor 2 with some visual tweaks.
