Laxius Force III: The Last Stand is in fact the sixth installment of a series of cRPG games, maintained in the style of classics from the era of 16-bit computers. The title is the final part of the Laxius Force trilogy and was created by French development studio Aldorlea Games under the direction of Indinery Falls.

The plot of the game continues the threads presented in earlier editions of the cycle. The main character, Random Pendragon and his companions come to the conviction that they cannot effectively face the forces of the Order without knowing the location of the enemy. The Laxius Force team is then sent to the Institute of Modern Science to solve this problem. The Great Commandant hides above the clouds, where he prepares his army to attack the Deport.

The game was designed for over 100 hours of fun with over 150 quests to complete. The mechanics does not differ significantly from the previous parts of the trilogy, focusing primarily on fighting, exploration of locations and conversation with independent figures. In the course of the game, the player can create six teams of 42 legendary heroes with different psycho-physical attributes and skills.

To create Laxius Force III: The Last Stand, the developers again used a proven tool in the form of RPG Maker XP. The two-dimensional graphics used in the game clearly refer to jRPG classics, e.g. Final Fantasy IV. Attention is also drawn to the anime style illustrations accompanying the duels and feature inserts.
