The Last Window is a classic adventure by a Japanese studio Cing, which specializes in creating similar productions for the Nintendo DS console. Earlier, the company became famous for such items as Another Code or Hotel Dusk: Room 215.

Once again, the main character is Kyle Hyde, known from her predecessor. The action takes place one year after the events known from the original. Kyle is a 34-year-old former policeman who has been fired due to negligence on duty, and soon, if he does not pay the right amount, he may also be evicted from the apartment. Problems can be forgotten in the found letter, in which someone orders the hero to find a mysterious object, allegedly located in the apartment building Cape West. Inside, our hero starts to feel that this building is somehow connected with the death of his father, and decides to discover the secret as well. The events also revolve around a novel known as The Last Window.

The game looks similar to the previous studio production. While playing, hold the console like a book, and the control is done with the use of a stylus. Reaching the next checkpoint in the game opens a new chapter in the novel, and subsequent situations are the result of previous decisions. It is therefore important to pay attention to the issues raised in conversations with individual characters, as they are not without influence on the plot.

A novelty in this page is the option to ignore selected aspects of the conversation. This way you can go through history a little faster, but if we ignore too many issues, we can quickly end the investigation with failure. Fans of the original will be pleased to notice some references and characters appearing already in the first part.
