Kreed: Battle for Savitar is the first official extension of the action game called Kreed released in mid-2004 by the Russian Burut Software studio. As is usually the case with such additions, also in this case the code of the program in relation to its predecessor was significantly modified and improved, thus introducing many new elements to the basic game.
At the end of the third century, the earthly civilization made significant progress in the research and colonization of foreign spaces. Some solar systems had already been inhabited by people and further expansion seemed just a matter of time. However, the first contact with a foreign civilisation meant the first serious problems. At the beginning of the 22nd century, Tiglaary, an ancient expansionist alien race, met with an earthly federation. Tglaars considered people as a potential competition, which resulted in the war.... The more advanced technology of space visitors contributed to the defeat of the Earth's inhabitants. Initially, they lost part of their colonies, but later the fighting moved to the solar system, around the Earth and on its surface. The decentralization of human troops caused warfare to split into smaller, local conflicts. The player's task is to take part in one of such actions, to play the role of a lieutenant of the federal army, the last force saving its area.
Additional Battle for Savitar introduces to the game, among others, new weapons (including deadly laser) and several types of new, even more dangerous than before, opponents. The whole action takes place on the territory of foreign and dangerous planets, and the improved engine, responsible for the physical model, allows you to keep the elementary laws of physics. Thus, the game gains in reality and overall reliability. The increased interactivity with the surrounding world is also significant here - most of the objects can be pushed or simply destroyed.
