An online sport game from PlayDat studio, which can be called by the name of “soccer MOBA”. That’s because gameplay comes down to rivalry of two 5-men teams, with each team member being represented by a real player. We create our own football player and then develop his individual skills through training between matches. Game focuses on typical soccer competition, either in form of single matches or tourneys with increasing difficulty.
Korner 5 is a multiplayer online sports game, which could be described as a "football MOBA". The game is based on the rivalry of two 5-person teams, playing football matches with each other in several different game modes. British studio PlayDat is responsible for the creation of the game.
When we start playing, we have to create our own virtual footballer, choosing from dozens of hairstyles, beards, head shapes, hair colours, etc., and we have to create our own virtual footballer. Each of these players has their own individual skills, of course, which we can develop during the training, which takes place during the breaks between matches. Thanks to it, we will learn how to move around the pitch better, more accurate passes and more effective ball reception. In order to facilitate the first moments spent with Korner 5, the secrets of the game are introduced to the game by successively assigned tasks.
At the heart of the game are, of course, the next football duels, held in the form of single matches or various tournaments of increasing difficulty. The games can be played in several different modes, including classic games, team challenges or games using power-ups that appear on the pitch during the game.
The matches themselves are presented in a way typical for the most popular football series, such as FIFA or Pro Evolution Soccer, although the whole was realized with a pinch of salt (e.g. unnaturally big players' heads). The main difference, however, is that in Korner 5 two teams of 5 players compete against each other, and each of them is represented by a different player. The matches take place at a rather fast pace and are influenced by the individual abilities of each player. During the game we have to pay special attention to fouls, because just like in a real meeting, received cards can eliminate us from the game. It is also important to keep an eye on the player's energy bar, because a player who is overtired will not provide any support for his team.
As you can easily guess, the key to success in the game is skillful cooperation within the team, and the game takes on a new dimension when we play together with friends. The creators took care of the internal chat system, thanks to which we can communicate with other players and, for example, set the tactics for a given meeting. The matches played can also be saved and treated as a training base for the future.
